Pink Saturday - 07.11.2009

Happy PINK Saturday!

Welcome to my blog and celebrating a wonderful, and hot, Pink Saturday. Pink Saturday is hosted by Beverly at "How Sweet the Sound". Please start with her blog to catch all the pretty pink things in the world.

I have finally had a chance to take pictures of my hibiscus. They are celebrating their 6th birthday in my yard. I just love their big smiling faces.

My First Pink Saturday!

I have joined a fun group that celebrates PINK! each and every Saturday. This Hydrangeas is one of the new plants we put in our front garden. It looks like the heat is already getting to it. Until my Hibiscus starts blooming, this will be my "pink". The Hibiscus is getting real close to blooming.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy a beautiful pink Saturday.

Birthday boys!

Happy Birthday to my youngest son and my brother! I think it is unusal to have family members share the same birthday, but today is my youngest son's birthday and my brother's birthday. There are a few years difference in their age! My youngest son turns 17 today and my brother is a few years older (41 years to be exact!)

We will be having a majority of the family over and serving our family's famous Lasagna with homemade noodles - yummy!

The cards above were made for my brother and my cousin's husband. I "cased" this card from here. Lots of May birthdays in this family. My sister's is this coming Tuesday, so expect another card showing.

This card I made for my youngest son. The stamp is from Close to My Heart and I actually water colored it with real water colors - not the kids set!!!

This is my lone Viola flower. It must of reseeded itself, because I have not planted Violas in several years. I really love the Viola flower because I had an aunt named Viola, so when I see this flower I always think of her.

First blog entry didn't hurt; try a second one!!!!

Ok, that didn't hurt to bad, until I decided to change font colors and deleted all that I typed! I am putting in pictures that we took on our trip to Colorado Springs last summer. Love it there! Plan on going back for 2 days this summer and then on to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The boys want to go on a rafting trip down the Snake River. I am going to do the scenic route and let the boys go further on the rapids. Not me!
