We had a very memorable birthday party on Friday. One of the upstairs bathrooms flooded causing very wet floors in the hall, playroom and downstairs in the computer room! The computer still works, except for the keyboard. Some of the letters quit working like "e", "t". It is hard to spell words with a broken keyboard. I still had the old computer and that keyboard works! This group brought in 12 fans and 3 dehumidifiers. I like the dehumidifiers, we had our A/C set for 78 degrees and it was cold. With the dehumidifiers gone, 78 degrees is getting warm!
The picture above shows a few of the holes in the ceiling of the computer room. Water was pouring from the air vent directly into the printer.
Nice staining in the playroom.
This is one birthday we will never forget!

Birthday boys!
Happy Birthday to my youngest son and my brother! I think it is unusal to have family members share the same birthday, but today is my youngest son's birthday and my brother's birthday. There are a few years difference in their age! My youngest son turns 17 today and my brother is a few years older (41 years to be exact!)
We will be having a majority of the family over and serving our family's famous Lasagna with homemade noodles - yummy!
The cards above were made for my brother and my cousin's husband. I "cased" this card from here. Lots of May birthdays in this family. My sister's is this coming Tuesday, so expect another card showing.
This card I made for my youngest son. The stamp is from Close to My Heart and I actually water colored it with real water colors - not the kids set!!!
This is my lone Viola flower. It must of reseeded itself, because I have not planted Violas in several years. I really love the Viola flower because I had an aunt named Viola, so when I see this flower I always think of her.

Saving Duckie
Several days ago, we were having Tornado Warnings in our area. The TV weathermen were seeing rotation just a few miles from our house. I decided that I should put few things in our little bathroom just in case we needed to hide from the weather. I put in our shoes and my purse and brought a few pillows close by. After getting these things together, I turned and looked at Boomer and there she was standing very quiet like with her tail hanging down holding Duckie (her favorite stuffed animal). She was taking Duckie with her to hide in the bathroom.
The storms left and we did not have any damage and Duckie was safe.
