What is being "tagged" mean? Well, my 2peas friend Brenda was tagged and she answered some questions and then she "tagged" me, meaning I am to answer the questions and then send them to another blogging buddy. So, here goes nothing....
1. What was I doing 10 years ago? About the same thing I am doing now, working for attorneys, raising boys, yet they are 10 years older, so they would have been 11 and 7 and they are now 21 and 17. I am in a different house than 10 years ago and at that point would have never dreamed I would be in a house like this.
2. Five things on today's to do list. Who makes to do lists? Me? They are in my head and not on a list. In my head...1) go to post office 2) last day of month, must get car tag for the old green truck 3) go to work 4) fix something for supper 5) finish the few 4th of July cards I am making for family members - may post tomorrow (but don't look if you are a family member!)
3. Snacks - Peanut M&M's, Cheetoes, Dr. Pepper
4. Things I would do if I were a millionaire - not work (sorry Kelly, & I can say that because I know you don't follow my blog!) like Brenda, give 10% to my church or more, payoff my house and help some to family and friends (that includes you Gena - my bff) oh, and payoff my oldest son's college loans and save for little brother's which starts in 2009 (SCREAM)
5. Places that I have lived. Now this is going to be a long list (of towns that start with B's) Bartlesville, Bixby and Broken Arrow. Oh, and 10 months we lived in Tulsa in our first (and only) apartment.
Now I am to tag someone (drum roll please) --- I only have 1 person to tag and that is my email buddy Amy. (Amy & I met on 2peas and quickly became friends - it seems we have a lot in common) Brenda picked everyone else, I am glad I have Amy to tag or it would have stopped with me....... Oh, by the way Brenda, thank you for voting in my poll (I guessed it was you that voted. Am I right?)
Amy, you are next (http://laughingwiththestahls.blogspot.com/)

Celebrating Independence Day
A church that is close to our house has a firework display every year on the Sunday before the 4th of July. This year, it was nice and cool outside, perfect for enjoying the show.

Passionate About Purple ATC Swap
These are ATC's. (Artist Trading Cards; the cards are the same size as a baseball trading cards.) This swap was based on the color purple (no, not the show starring Oprah and Whoopie). Everything was to be in purple. This was the first time I have made an ATC. Does that make me an artist. - I don't think so.

Beautiful Hibicus (& other flowers)
The STARS of our yard have made their appearance.
We love the large Hibicus flower. They are the size of a salad plate. The actual flower only lasts a day, but the plant has hundreds of buds that will bloom for weeks to come. Next is a long time favorite of mine, the Moss Rose. I love their sweet little flower and the fact they love the dry summers of Oklahoma. However, right now, it is not dry! We have had a record rainfall this year and may go down in history as the wettest year.

My Bebe Kitty
Here is my baby kitty enjoying the new carpet. She tells us it is her incognito room, because she matches the carpet so well therefore, we can't see her......

Grasshopper?
Ok, there is some debate in my family as to what this guy is. He is green compared to the traditional brown grasshoppers I am use too.
I was watering the first hanging flower basket and pulled out the watering wand and found this guy on it. He stayed on the wand the entire time I was watering. I guess he wanted to be my model for the day.

He LOVES New York
Our youngest son went with his youth church group on a mission trip to New York City. This was the first time he got to fly. He now loves flying. He described New York City as "AWESOME". He is ready to return there. This is part of the group he was with. Altogether, this church took 17 kids and 4 adults. They all returned home. Nobody was lost for too long!
One evening, they went to a Broadway play.
This is Mr. and Mrs. Mallard. They live in Central Park.
He had better pictures of the Statue of Liberty, I just choose the wrong one.
A view of the buildings from a fairy boat.
From this, it looks more like a vacation than a mission trip. They packed a lot of activities into 10 days! Including delivering meals to homebound people, a tour/prayer walk of the city, helped with an after school daycare for children and much more. For more fun, they went to Coney Island and swam in the cold Atlantic Ocean. Don't forget, they rode the famous NYC Subway everywhere. One day, they walked 13 miles. They were introduced to different ethnic foods. He had Cuban, Mexican, Indian and Vietnamese. He enjoyed their soup called Pho. He also loved the New York Pizza.

Recipe Card Swap & Aunt Bill's Birthday Card
I joined a Christmas Treats Recipe Swap. One of our favorite recipes for cookies is Molasses Cookies. I have made these cookies for years and a lot of friends and family members request the cookies every year. Aunt Bill loves to dunk them in coffee.
Speaking of Aunt Bill, we celebrated her 80th birthday this weekend. Aunt Bill is my husband's aunt. She is the 6th daughter of of 7 girls. Their father was a farmer and wanted a son really bad, so when she was born she was nicknamed "Bill". Her real name is Naomi. Happy Birthday, Aunt Bill!
