A picture at the Continental Divide taken by a husband and wife from Florida. At the south entrance of Yellowstone taken by a family that lives in Arizona that is orginally from India! (Only in America!)
We hiked around Jenny Lake (2 miles).
See the moon getting ready to set for the day?

And more pictures
We were walking on the boardwalks around the hot pots when we saw this little bird walking about in the hot water. We were wondering, when he picked up his bird foot, if he thought the ground was hot? Heavy traffic ahead, or is it a buffalo in the road?

More of Yellowstone
The day at Yellowstone was a beautiful sunny, cool day. We decided to view the geysers around Old Faithful. Below are just a few of the geysers we saw. There were some geysers with small blurps. Then there were some with large blurps. How many of you have had a geyser erupt on you? Probably not very many. Well, while we were watching the geysers, one decided to erupt and we were not that far away from it. The steam was warm but the water was . . . . COLD. I would have never thought the water would have been cold. This geyser was!
Here it is erupting.
And here it is spraying on us. We were soaked.
After the soaking.

More of Snake River Rafting
J left his jacket at home so he borrowed a rain suit for the rafting trip. Now isn't this a lovely picture? Almost 25 years, and they still look good with each other. (And are good for each other!)
Me and my boys.....
Views of the Tetons.
We bought a waterproof 1 time use camera for the white water rafting part of the trip. BUT, it is somewhere at the bottom of the Snake River - exactly why I wouldn't take my digital camera on the rafting trip. For environmental reasons, I wish it didn't get lost.

Rafting down the Snake River
The first rafting trip we took was for me. I didn't want to go down any white water. This was a no work rafting trip. Our guide told us that after being on the river about 2 miles, we were on Harrison Ford's property. I didn't see Harrison or his house :( This is an Eagle in this tree.
This is an Eagle's nest.
This was back at the Mad River store front. We had a tasty cold Quizno's sandwich that came with our rafting trip before the boys left on the white water part of the rafting trip.

Traveling to Jackson Hole, Wyoming
It is a long drive to Jackson Hole, Wyoming from Colorado Springs, Colorado. It took 9 hours. Usually, a 9 hour driving day is not long for us, but there is so much flat land in Wyoming and no traffic, it gets long.
The first picture shows some interesting formations on a mountain - in the middle of Wyoming somewhere!
Somewhere on this long stretch of road, we saw a Badger. He looked both ways before crossing the road. His mommy taught him well.
Sorry for the dust in the next picture. It was clean when we started but this was the dust from the race on Sunday. What I am showing is the temperature. This is nearly 7:00 p.m. and it is 52 chilly degrees! (my clock is set to Central Time Zone and this is Mountain Time Zone - so subtract an hour)
Finally, we are in mountains!

Garden of the Gods
You can't go to Colorado Springs and not visit The Garden of the Gods. This place is simply beautiful. I think Colorado Springs may be my favorite city in the world. I also think I should try to be paid to update my blog by the tourism department of Colorado Springs. My favorite boys.

2nd part of day one
Ok, it was Sunday, and I found it interesting that I would find this pine tree growing a section that looked like a cross. Here is the helicopter, which also had a camera guy "hanging" out of the door. (Is he crazy?)
Everything was raced, here is a motorcycle with a side car. They also raced motorcycles without the side car and semicabs too!
At the end of the race, all the racers came down off the mountain and were greeted by fans. I enjoyed watching the racers give lots of attention to the children in the group.
It was a beautiful day on Pikes Peak. We were on the mountain from 6:00 a.m until 5:00 p.m.
